Since the founding of Kapu Africa, Midwest Food Bank's East Africa division, Christine Mutsoli has been an amazing help.

Christine, Kapu Africa's Executive Director, was educated in the USA. She has a Master's Degree in Microbiology from the University of Texas, and worked in the US for several years. In all of this, God was preparing her to be the perfect fit for MFB.

Now, Christine, works with agencies seeking food and picks up donated food from manufacturers and distributors. She also takes it to the Christian schools and orphanages we support, and coaches the kitchen helpers on the importance of proper nutrition.

Since the beginning, Godwin Matswa has traveled with Christine as her volunteer bodyguard. Her travels take her to Nairobi's roughest slums, so Godwin's presence is a real blessing. He wasn't paid, but served children in this unique way.

Kapu Africa was blessed to be able to hire Godwin full-time in the fall of 2017 and he is now the driver of our new refrigerated truck. He also helps Christine with office duties and promotes nutrition to the agencies.

It is inspiring to see dedicated individuals, like Christine and Godwin, who are fully committed to helping feed, educate and nurture needy children.
