With his vast and varied background, Midwest Food Bank Texas is blessed to have Ron Donnini join as Administative Director. Ron began working at MFB on April 8, 2019.
Ron's past experiences include:
- A baseball scholarship to the University of Miami.
- 2 years in the Army.
- A career in the construction industry.
- Being COO and CEO of an international firm in the truss industry.
- Being President of a joint venture with Nucor Steel and Lenar Homes, Stockton, CA.
- Serving as CEO for a church revitalization firm in Dallas
How does a person with that much experience come to MFB? Ron was introduced to MFB at a Pantego Bible Church (his church) board meeting. Interested in the MFB ministry, several church elders visited the Illinois locations.
Impressed with the ministry, and wanting to be a part of it, the Pantego Bible Church donated land for the building of a permanent warehouse. A church elder felt like Ron should apply for the Executive Director position.
As Executive Director, Ron will oversee the operations of MFB Texas. This includes day to day operations, vision casting, volunteer development, agency liaison, accounting functions and staff and donor development,
Ron's wife of 50 years is Shawn, and they have 4 sons, 12 grandchildren, and a great-grandchild. Ron is blessed to have all of his family living nearby.
Sustained and grounded in God's Word, Ron often has the opportunity to teach and preach. His favorite passage of scripture is Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
"I love serving with all of the folks at Midwest Food Bank," says Ron. "I also enjoy interacting with the agencies we serve. I want them to know that we love them and pray for them daily."
Welcome to Midwest Food Bank, Ron!
