For 12 years, Midwest Food Bank Indiana operated out of a "small," 12,000 sq.ft. warehouse space (story here). During the pandemic, long-time MFB supporter Steve Kopetsky generously offered us warehouse space on Kopetsky Drive (story here). We also leased an additional 18,000 sq. ft. of space at the same location.

MFB Indiana is pleased to announce the lease of an additional 18,000 sq. ft. of space, effectively using the entire Kopetsky Drive warehouse. Counting both locations, we have gone from 12,000 to 36,000 sq. ft. in two years.

The new space will allow MFB Indiana to store over 2,000 pallets of donated food (83 semi loads). Racking is being installed now. The new lease also has office space and a volunteer work area.

This facility is close to our original Belmont Drive location. MFB Indiana is thankful for this expansion and what it will mean in the fight against food insecurity.
