A generous group of donors has pledged to match every dollar you give. up to $50,000. That means your donation goes twice as far to provide weekend Hope Packs for at-risk school children.
It is estimated that 1 in 10 children in the United States is living in a food-insecure household. When children are regularly going without food, they can start to display signs of adverse physical health, poor emotional well-being, and academic setbacks.
So we developed Hope Packs. By sending children home with enough food to get through the weekend, we can help them thrive.

Frequently Asked Questions

Each Hope Pack contains five core items: An individual warm meal (like mac and cheese), a breakfast meal, fruit, a granola bar, and a snack

The cost to provide a child with food to take home every weekend for one school year is only $68. This is only possible due to the efficient, volunteer-supported operations at Midwest Food Bank.

Hope Packs are delivered right to the doorsteps of the schools that participate in our program. Volunteer non-profit agencies, churches, or community groups coordinate the pickup and drop-offs at participating schools. These volunteers assemble the Hope Packs to be given to children at the end of the day on Friday.

Donations by check are welcome! Please make checks payable to "Midwest Food Bank" and mail them to: 9005 N Industrial Road, Peoria, IL 61615. Please include "Hope Packs Match" in the memo section. Your generosity helps us provide food and hope to those in need. Thank you for your support!
