Midwest Food Bank of Illinois-Peoria
In 2007, as the demand from partner nonprofit agencies grew, Midwest Food Bank Peoria opened as the second MFB location. Beginning with 65 agency partners, MFB Peoria now serves over 300 nonprofits. These are located primarily in the western half of Illinois, but Eastern Iowa and parts of Missouri and Kentucky are served through satellite distributions. Learn more about how you can help through our volunteer opportunities.
MFB Peoria is the origin of Tender Mercies, MFB's nutritious packaged meal of rice, beans, and chicken-flavored seasoning. Volunteers initially packed the dry meals by hand at MFB Peoria. The program eventually moved to the Morton Illinois location.
Come to MFB Peoria to volunteer. Our volunteers are the life-blood of our organization - one of our key strengths. For individuals, families or small groups, you can browse the list of opportunities below.
