Midwest Food Bank of Florida
Midwest Food Bank has been fighting hunger throughout the United States since 2003. With the overwhelming help and support of volunteers, our reach has extended far and wide. We expanded into Florida in 2014.
Today, the Fort Myers, Florida location serves over 170 agency partners in 39 counties across three states. Although we are located on the Gulf side of Southern Florida, we are always seeking ways to expand our reach. As a means of better serving the Central Florida area, Midwest Food Bank Florida has a remote distribution site in Lake Wales in Polk County.
We recognize that there is hunger prevalent in Mississippi and Alabama as well. Some of the partner nonprofit agencies MFB Florida serves are in Southern Mississippi and Alabama.
We are thankful to offer disaster relief as needed, such as in the case of Hurricane Irma, and will continue to do everything we can as needs arise. Thank you for your donations and your willingness to volunteer. Your help enables us to bridge the gap between poverty and prosperity.
Come to MFB Florida to volunteer. Our volunteers are the life-blood of our organization - one of our key strengths. For individuals, families or small groups, you can browse the list of opportunities below.
