MEMORIAL PAGE

With a heart full of love, we fondly remember the ever-inspiring life of Jessica M. Kirk (Farrow) who passed away peacefully on February 6, 2024, in Dallas, Texas, at the age of 40, after her valiant 12-year battle with cancer.

To honor her memory, contributions can be made to Midwest Food Bank (MFB). The Kirks have selected the MFB as the charity to celebrate Jessica because she and the charity share similar charcatistics: efficient, practical, and high-impact.

• Over $.99 of every dollar donated to MFB goes to programs and services to alleviate hunger and malnutrition.

• $1 donated provides $30 in food distribution to non-profit partners.

• All of the food distributed by MFB is free of charge to the 2400 non-profits they serve.

The Caterpillar Foundation will match any donation made by part-time and full-time Caterpillar and Solar and Progress Rail employees, and US-based Caterpillar retirees. Click here to request a match to your gift.

Jessica is survived by her adoring husband, Ryan Kirk, his parents, Pat and Marci Kirk of Story, Wyoming, her loving sister, Stacy Farrow (married to Matt Arnold), and her dear nephews Mason (10) and Bennett (6) residing in Rochester, Minnesota. Jessica’s parents, Doug and Rita Farrow of Gillette, Wyoming, share in the sorrow of her passing. She was preceded in death by her loyal canine companion, Dozer.

Born on July 28, 1983, Jessica’s life journey began in Gillette, Wyoming. She graduated from Campbell County High School in 2001, where she met the love of her life, Ryan. They exchanged vows in a humble courthouse ceremony in Peoria, Illinois, in September 2007, the same year Jessica earned her Doctorate in Pharmacy from Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. Jessica had a fulfilling career as a pharmacist, impacting the lives of countless patients with her compassionate care.

Jessica and Ryan shared over half their lifetime together, embarking on adventures that took them to 7 states and 8 different homes. They became a family when they welcomed their English bulldog Dozer into their hearts in April 2008 and, later, Pinot in January 2020.

Jessica possessed an insatiable wanderlust, exploring 47 countries across all 7 continents. While she cherished trips such as sailing around the Greek Islands and experiencing the beauty of Antarctica, she also held great affection for the serenity of her family’s cabin in North Carolina. She found joy in snow skiing and playing board games and poured her heart into crafting. She was also a lover of fine wine, books, and music but, above all, she loved life alongside Ryan.

Jessica touched the lives of her family and friends deeply. As a devoted aunt, she had a knack for finding just the right gifts. Her captivating smile radiated positivity and joy, and her corny dad jokes always brought laughter to her circle of friends. Jessica embraced life authentically, and her spirit shone through her boundless strength, courage, and resilience.

Jessica’s pragmatic outlook taught us the value of taking life one step at a time, always moving forward. Her spirit will forever dwell in our hearts.
