Caterpillar Global Information Team blesses local students

Hope Packs, Midwest Food Bank's weekend feeding program for students, recently received a boost from the Global Information Services team from Caterpillar Inc. The team purchased, packed and donated over 9,000 meal packs to MFB Peoria.
Each of the donated meal packs has two hot meals, two hot breakfast items, shelf-stable fruit, fruit snacks, juice and a snack item. Midwest Food Bank will distribute the Hope Packs to non-profit partner agencies to be given to qualifying students at schools. Students receive the packs every Friday during the school year to help them through the weekend.
This is the fourth year the team has donated Hope Packs to MFB Peoria. Each year has shown a dramatic increase over the previous year. The team reported contagious energy around this year's drive. The final total for this year was 9,416.
Thank you to the Caterpillar global information Services team for their generous giving to local students. Their gifts will provide food for many food insecure children.
