MFB Pennsylvania hires new Executive Director
It started with an invitation to visit MFB Pennsylvania. It ended in the hiring of a new Executive Director. Kathy Anderson-Martin will join the MFB Pennsylvania team as the Executive Director, effective Oct. 18.
At her first visit, Kathy was impressed with MFB's mission and stewardship of resources. As someone who had distributed food to those in need, she appreciated the MFB volunteer and distribution model. Also, as a person of faith, she supports MFB's ministry to feed body and spirit.
"I'm excited about the prospect of working with an organization that has an established, respected history, tradition, and track record," says Kathy. "There are wonderful opportunities ahead, and it's exciting to be part of that in my "hometown" of Central PA."
Kathy comes to MFB with a background that aligns with MFB's mission and culture. She most recently served as the Director of Resource Development for the Salvation Army Harrisburg Capital City Region. In that role, she led a team that managed fundraising, including a $12 million capital campaign. She also has experience in sales and operations management for industrial products.
"Kathy is an exceptional leader with a proven track record in fundraising," says Eric Hodel, COO/CFO of Midwest Food Bank. "We're pleased to have her on the MFB team."
Kathy and her husband, Jon, have two daughters, Lizzie and Ashlyn, and a Plott hound named Gabriella. She enjoys a good meal, laughter, and conversation with friends, and she says she bleeds "blue and white (that's what Penn State graduates do)." Please join us in welcoming Kathy to MFB Pennsylvania.
