MFB Peoria says goodbye to faithful volunteer

Midwest Food Bank could not function without the many volunteers that serve on a regular basis. We have been blessed with many long standing, faithful volunteers.

Kenny Holstrom was one of those core volunteers. After many years of volunteer service, Kenny recently went home to be with the Lord at the age of 91. He was much loved by any and all. Kenny was a stranger to no one and anyone he met was his friend. Up to the week prior to his passing, he was still serving at Midwest Food Bank.

While Kenny volunteered over 2,100 hours at MFB, he was also actively involved in other volunteer venues. He served faithfully in the Farmington Area Food Pantry, which is a long-standing partner of Midwest Food Bank Peoria. Kenny's love of life and people was contagious to all those he came in contact with. All other volunteers loved to serve alongside him.

Kenny will be missed by all. Volunteers who serve at Midwest Food Bank enjoy being a part of the work as well as the fellowship amongst each other. It truly is a joy to serve with others for the sake of those in need.
