MFB Peoria welcomes a new Operations Manager

Kyle Morr heard about a job opening at Midwest Food Bank Peoria from MFB IT Director Nate Westerfield and Peoria volunteer and former employee Lori Allen. It sounded like a perfect fit for his family.

Kyle started his role as Operations Manager in December. Most recently working at a church, Kyle is happy to be able to maintain a ministry focus at work.

"This environment coupled with the mission of MFB to serve our community has already been a blessing, and I love that I get to be a part of it," says Kyle. "The employees and volunteers at MFB have welcomed me with open arms."

As operations manager, he is responsible for securing food for distribution to food pantries and warehouse logistics. He credits the "amazing" volunteer team in Peoria for their knowledge of both inventory and distribution.

Kyle lives in Washington with his wife, Katelyn, and "goofy son," Walter. In his spare time, he enjoys being outdoors, hiking, biking, grilling/smoking, weightlifting, working on cars and motorcycles, and doing home projects.

"God brought Kyle to MFB Peoria at the perfect time for both of us," says Monica Scheuer, Executive Director of MFB Peoria. "He brings a fresh perspective and passion for operations."

"What I like best about this position is getting to work with such a wonderful team," says Kyle. "It's so wonderful to see how God is working in our communities and across the country through MFB."
