Midwest Food Bank's new Accounting Director
Midwest Food Bank is pleased to announce a new corporate staff employee. Dana Williamsen has been chosen as Accounting Director of Midwest Food Bank. As Accounting Director, she is responsible for the oversight of corporate as well as divisional accounting procedures and processes.
Dana comes to us from Illinois Central College where she was the Finance Assistance Manager. Prior to that, she owned and operated a golf course and was the director of a pregnancy center.
Dana's home was hit by the tornado that struck Washington, IL, five years ago. She and her family had to live with friends while their home was being repaired. Dana found herself using different disaster relief pantries during that time.
"After being in a place of need, personally feeling the effects of disaster relief and volunteers making a difference in my life, I felt a strong desire to be a part of something that provided this relief," says Dana. "Working at Midwest Food Bank gives me the opportunity to be a part of a mission that provides for those in need."
Dana is married to Brian and has two daughters, Payton and Reese, and two step-sons, Carson and Logan. She enjoys cheering them on in their activities - worship team, tennis, lacrosse, soccer and volleyball. In their spare time, Dana and Brian like to be outdoors - canoeing, fishing, hiking, biking, golfing and traveling.
"The people I am working with are at MFB because they have a heart for serving others and a desire to fill a basic human need," says Dana. "I love coming to work and seeing all the volunteers having a fun time and working hard."
