Midwest Food Bank's Ongoing Collaboration with Amazon Addresses Food Insecurity

Midwest Food Bank (MFB) is delighted to share an update on our ongoing partnership with Amazon. Since 2022, we've been working together to tackle food insecurity across the United States. This collaboration allows us to reach more families and provide them with the nutritious food they need.

Through the Amazon Local Good Program, Amazon helps us with the crucial last-mile delivery. This support expands our ability to collect food donations from various locations, greatly increasing our capacity to help more people.

Jada Hoerr, Chief Resource Officer at Midwest Food Bank, expressed enthusiasm about this collaboration. "Partnering with Amazon has allowed us to leverage their vast resources and expertise. This enhances our ability to create a significant impact not just locally, but in multiple communities across the states."

From Amazon's perspective, Amanda Adcock-Worthy, Head of Amazon Local Good, highlighted the company's commitment to addressing global challenges such as food insecurity. "We are dedicated to using our technological expertise, global reach, and efficient last-mile delivery services to support communities," she said. "Working with Midwest Food Bank aligns perfectly with our goals, and we are thrilled to see the positive changes in the lives of those we serve together."

This partnership shows how collaborations between nonprofits and corporations can create significant positive changes in communities. At Midwest Food Bank, we're grateful for the ongoing support from Amazon as we continue our mission to alleviate hunger.
