New England board member brings kind-hearted passion

"In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words Lord Jesus himself said: It is more blessed to give than to receive." Acts 20-35

When Midwest Food Bank New England hosted a ribbon cutting to announce its opening Millie Texidor-Maffucci was there. She toured the facility and left wondering how she could be a part of MFB.

She has recently joined the advisory board, and in that volunteer role, will help with the governance, vision, and strategic planning of MFB New England.

"Millie's kind-hearted passion in action is a wonderful addition to our local advisory board," says Jan Young, executive director. "We are blessed to have her join our team."

Millie has 30 years of experience in the banking industry. Her work philosophy includes building relationships with customers so they can reach their personal and or business dreams.

"Situations change so quickly - water and food and a helping hand are more valuable than money," says Millie. "I want to be that helping hand by being a part of Midwest Food Bank."

Millie's husband is a chef with the claim to fame of being on the Bobby Flay cooking show. She has a blended family of four adult children and three grandchildren. She is also active in the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce and Manchester Area Conference of Churches/MACC Charities.
