Tender Mercies load fulfilled for Backpack Program!
July has been very busy so far and God's hand is showing through it all. We have another load scheduled for our friends in Arkansas. They operate a great organization that serves over 35,000 kids via a backpack program.
On Monday, July 14th, we achieved a new record for the production of Tender Mercies (TM) in one day - 7,600 bags eclipsing the "old" record of 6,250 bags (set on 7/9/14). This is amazing, but there is more great news. We also had 2 new volunteers enroll to help in running the TM machine. Thanks to all of our team and thank you for helping in God's work being done at the Midwest Food Bank - Morton.
It's due to your dedication, loyalty and hard work that we have been able to produce this amount. Long ago I learned that the heart of an organization is it's people. Thank you for being the heart of the Midwest Food Bank. You all are wonderful people and we couldn't do things like this without each and every one of you. Congratulations!
Remember that this month we produced meals to feed 35,000+ kids in need!
