TX & OK Disaster Relief

Midwest Food Bank (MFB) has been asked by The Salvation Army to assist in relief efforts for Texas & Oklahoma storm victims. A semi-load of food and hygiene supplies have been sent from our divisions (one each) in Bloomington, Peoria, and Indianapolis warehouses. All six Midwest Food Bank warehouses nationally are on standby to support the relief efforts.

A semi-load consists of approximately 800 family food boxes each of which can sustain a family of four for five days. MFB has also been alerted that a fourth load of food and supplies may be needed in south Texas along the Mexican border. We have been asked in Morton to assist with packing disaster boxes. Volunteers will be packaging additional food boxes at the various MFB locations as well in the coming days.

Volunteers Needed this Friday, 6.12.15!

We will be packing Disaster Boxes Friday morning and afternoon. If you are available and willing to help us pack family food boxes for the flood victims in Texas and Oklahoma, we would love to have you.
