A month of supporting Kapu Africa's nonprofit partners
At Kapu Africa, we often have a front-row seat to see our food placed in the hands of those who need it. Here is a look at some of the highlights of last month.

Because Kapu Africa (Midwest Food Bank East Africa) and Brookside Dairy have a partnership, over 600 children get nutritious yogurt at school. Recently, Kapu Africa invited a representative from Brookside Dairy to see the school and what their food donation means to these children.
"It's important for the donor to also get a chance to see for themselves where their donations go," says Christine Mutsoli, Executive Director of Kapu Africa. "This builds trust and empathy and they see how it impacts the children."
Glory Christian School is one of the agencies that receive food from Kapu Africa. It is located in a slum and is free to the children that attend. Two meals are provided each day.
"Before joining Glory Christian, many of these children were not going to school because their parents are into drugs and prostitution," says Christine. "Some of the children have also been rescued from abusive situations."
Kapu Africa gathers food from donors, as well as providing Tender Mercies, a nutritious meal that is manufactured there.

Kapu Africa was at Kenyatta National Hospital with their staff, cancer patients, and Symbol of Hope Warriors, a support group for cancer patients and survivors. We donated Tender Mercies and Unimix to these amazing men and women. May God walk with them through this season of their lives.September 3
We shared blessings and love with the congregation of ACK ST Luke's Busiada in Busia county. The clientele was mostly elderly and the less privileged in the community. We fed 150 large multi-generational.September 5
KAPU Africa distributed food in Buduma village. We were able to serve 365 families with fortified food; Tender Mercies, and Unimix. It is our privilege to see that the end user gets the benefits of our donations. The families were very happy to have guaranteed meals for two weeks.
October 2
Spread Truth distributed Disaster Relief in the form of Tender Mercies from Kapu Africa. This is an effort to mitigate hunger and malnutrition due to drought in Kenya.
