Blessings shared

It was a beautiful and warm late afternoon in Ft Myers when guests began to arrive for the 3rd Annual MFB Florida "Sharing the Blessings" gala dinner and auction. Appetizers were ready to enjoy while perusing the many items on the auction.

While dining on a delicious braised rib dinner catered by Jamie and Jacob Catering, guests enjoyed music by Calypso Magic ("Skip" Bowman). Gentlemen from Teen Challenge and St. Matthew's House (two of our partner agencies) served as waiters for the meal.

Following dinner, several speakers shared some thoughts, including President and CEO David Kieser and Executive Director Karl Steidinger. Then it was time for auctioneer Jimmy Fisher to start the fun.

Generous donors bid on dinners, gift packages, boat excursions and overnight stays, along with many other exciting items. All of the proceeds go directly to fund MFB FLorida programs and services. In addition, enough funds were raised to begin a backpack program with local schools this fall Underprivileged children will receive food to help them through weekends.

A big thank you to the many volunteers who made this fundraiser flow with their selfless dedication. It would not have been possible without them. Thank you to the many who attended and bid on auction items. Above all, thanks and glory to God for blessing the evening.
