Bringing relief to disaster workers

A wildfire burned hundreds of acres of grassland in Miami-Dade County, Florida over the weekend, producing dangerous smoke. High winds contributed to the spread of the fire, creating a possible disaster situation.

Midwest Food Bank Florida donated and delivered water and supplies to the Collier County Sheriff's Office for agencies working together to contain this devastating disaster. Thank you to all of the men and women who are risking their lives to save others, homes and wildlife.

Some may not know about MFB's committment to help in national disasters. We are a Salvation Army First Responder and can have water and supplies on the road within 24 hours of being asked. For more information, click here. To donate, click here.
