Child feeding program sponsored by MFB Haiti
MFB Haiti's sponsorship of a child feeding program has begun. Working with Matthew 28 (located in Bohoc, Haiti) a 20th feeding center is now operational.
In June, Midwest Food Bank Haiti partnered with Matthew 28 to sponsor a child feeding program near Pignon (story here). It is up and serving now. MFB Haiti provides Tender Mercies meals to this new feeding center. Meals are served at lunch time, Monday through Saturday, to 50 children aged 0-5. Health metrics (including height, weight, and head circumference) of each child were taken at the inception of this new program and each child's progress will be monitored.
MFB Haiti anticipates sponsoring two additional feeding centers in the Pignon area in partnership with Matthew 28, with 50 children aged 0-5 at each. These new locations should be operational in the fourth quarter.
