Generous Clorox and Niagara donations
In the aftermath of Hurricane Florence and Hurricane Michael, Midwest Food Bank has responded to date with over 20 truckloads of food boxes, water, cleaning supplies and personal hygiene kits into the Carolinas, southern Georgia and northern Florida. Two major donors in our Georgia region have stepped up in a big way to help with these ongoing relief efforts.
Niagara Water in Newnan, GA is a regular donor to Midwest Food Bank. When asked specifically if they could support our disaster relief efforts, they quickly came through with five semi loads of bottled water.
In addition, Clorox in Fairburn, GA responded with a much-needed load of bleach. They even delivered it free of charge to Midwest Food Bank Georgia in Peachtree City.
On behalf of the disaster victims, MFB offers a sincere and heartfelt, "Thank you!" As families begin to salvage what they can and put their lives back together, bleach and other cleaning supplies will be appreciated.
Midwest Food Bank is so grateful for the ongoing support of all of our donors. It's wonderful to have food, cleaning, and hygiene items to give to those in turmoil. Our volunteers are just as vital! They provide the help needed to package, load and drive the supplies to disaster areas.
Our prayers continue to be with all those affected by these recent storms as well as those who give of their time and resources to help alleviate some of the pain and suffering. If you are interested in supporting the disaster relief efforts of Midwest Food Bank, please click here.
