Mary Ann gives a warm welcome at MFB Morton

Thanks to Mary Ann Preston, a warm welcome and friendly smile greets visitors to Midwest Food Bank Morton.

Mary Ann volunteers three days each week at the front desk. She not only welcomes guests in person and on the phone, but she also uses her beautiful penmanship to write "thank you" notes to volunteers and donors.

"I volunteer because I enjoy helping people," says Mary Ann.

Before retirement, Mary Ann worked at Methodist Medical Center of Illinois as the administrative manager overseeing and ensuring the state and federal certifications were up to date for physicians. She also coordinated many office events and conferences.

She started volunteering at MFB Morton in 2018. She brings a level of professionalism and warmth to everything she does.

When Mary Ann is not at MFB, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, shopping, baking, and taking walks through her neighborhood. MFB Morton is thankful that Mary Ann shares her skills and experience so together, we can help people in need.
