MFB Bloomington-Normal welcomes a new employee

Rolland "Rollie" Reed isn't new to Midwest Food Bank, but he is taking on a new role. He will serve as the Warehouse Manager for the Bloomington-Normal location, beginning December 6.

In 2010 Rollie came to MFB after 20 years working in warehousing and logistics. He was looking for a change when a job opened at MFB Peoria. He was the Warehouse Manager there for a couple of years before becoming the Director of Operations.

"I love the interaction with volunteers and partner agencies," says Rollie. "I look forward to working alongside them at the Normal warehouse,"

The move to the MFB Normal location is a blessing for Rollie, as he and his wife plan to relocate here to be closer to their children. He will be responsible for food distribution and several aspects of warehouse management, such as loading and unloading trucks. He will work in tandem with Operations Manager Jeni Hanson to ensure the daily logistics continue to run smoothly.

"We are thrilled to have Rollie join the MFB Normal team," says Tara Ingham, Executive Director. "He brings much warehouse experience from his time at MFB Peoria, and he is passionate about our mission."

Rollie has been married to his wife, Denise, for 44 years. They enjoy biking, traveling, friends, and spending time with their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Please help us give Rollie a warm welcome to MFB Normal.
