MFB Florida hosts Volunteer Lunch

Over 99¢ of each dollar donated goes toward our programs and services. How are we able to do that? Volunteers! Our dedicated volunteers do everything - answering phones, packing and distributing food, driving forklifts and semis, and so much more. Due to pandemic safety protocols, our volunteers have been stretched thin this year.

To thank them, MFB Florida hosted a small Volunteer Appreciation Lunch on Saturday, November 14. About 40 volunteers came to our warehouse at 11 a.m. for a simple lunch of sandwiches, chips, and cookies. Special measures were taken to allow social distancing and safety.

While all volunteers are appreciated, two were singled out for recognition. Doris Kingman and Jim Short accepted Outstanding Volunteer awards from Karl Steidinger, Executive Director of MFB Florida.
