MFB Florida supports local veteran relief agencies
Following a medical discharge from the US Marine Corps, Thomas found himself facing many difficult challenges. He relied on local veteran support agencies like Hearts and Homes for Veterans to get back on his feet.
Thomas became a volunteer and then a full-time employee at Hearts and Homes. He is dedicated to giving back to community members in need.
"My life has changed 180 degrees," says Thomas. "I feel a stronger sense of purpose, confidence, and friendship."
Hearts and Homes for Veterans is a nonprofit partner of Midwest Food Bank Florida. In 2020, MFB Florida donated over 50,000 meals to local veteran service agencies. Thank you to our generous donors and volunteers for making this possible.
