MFB Haiti has two new partnerships

Midwest Food Bank Haiti believes partnerships are beneficial to share the Gospel and feed people in Haiti. While feeding people - physically and spiritually is the mission of MFB - many of our partners have other components to their ministry like medical care, education, job training, shelter and basic needs like clothing. By walking alongside ministry partners MFB can provide nutritious food that can help strengthen these other ministry focuses.

Two new partners have joined hands with MFB - Lifesong for Orphans and the Luken Foundation.

Lifesong for Orphans cares for orphans by providing adoption and foster care services, basic human needs, education and transition to adulthood. Food provided through MFB Haiti can support those needs.

The Luken Foundation was created after a man from Texas befriended a Haiti medical student who wanted to follow God's will in Cite Soleil. This is a slum in Haiti, and one of the poorest slums in the western hemisphere, with an estimated 300,000 to 400,000 residents. MFB Haiti provides food there, through The Luken Foundation.

The photos below are of a distribution near Jacmel. This was through an ongoing partnership with Harvest Jacmel, a ministry that supports seven churches in Haiti. People are receiving Tender Mercies meals to feed their families.

Together with other ministries, MFB Haiti continues to show God's love and compassion by providing basic needs. Thank you to these partners and their commitment to sharing their love of the Lord through actions. We are blessed to stand together.
