MFB Indiana employee spotlight - Matt McKaig

Matt McKaig has been the Operations Manager at MFB Indiana for just over a year. He grew up on a dairy farm and has a younger sister and twin brother.

Matt received a degree in agriculture from Purdue University and has worked for a veterinarian and cattle broker after college and then in the seed corn business. He is married to Michelle, and they have four children, Caleb, Rebekah, Elizabeth, and Zechariah. Matt enjoys watching his children in activities, including band, cross country, theater, and swimming. He enjoys spending time with his family playing golf, traveling, and watching movies.

"I continually see the hand of God at work through MFB," says Matt. I am grateful to be surrounded by so many people that are actively striving to serve the Lord."

Fun fact: Matt was extended the offer to join the MFB staff on his birthday, and his first day of work was his wedding anniversary. MFB Indiana is blessed to count Matt among their family,

As a volunteer at the Midwest Food Bank, I enjoy working for Matt. He is a very dedicated man to his Lord, his family and MFB.
Matt has the ability to think through complex daily problems and arrive at a decision to best serve the MFB. This is probably achieved from his Purdue education and the school of hard knocks that every young man goes through growing up.
Most of all, Matt loves to laugh, even if the joke is on him. He enjoys his Midwest Food Bank family. I am very proud to call Matt my friend!
