MFB Morton volunteer fills a specific need

God provides before we even know it's needed. That happens all the time at Midwest Food Bank.

Nancy Bucher stopped at MFB Morton to see if there was a need for a volunteer bookkeeper. There wasn't an immediate need, but one soon arose.

"I gave Nancy a call and she came and stepped right into the role," says Lisa Martin, executive director in Morton. "We are grateful to have her many years of bookkeeping experience. Nancy brings a warm and attentive attitude to her volunteer role."

"I like to volunteer and see everyone work together for the common cause," says Nancy. "There are so many different kinds of people that come to volunteer and I love that. Everyone is so kind and helpful."

Besides MFB, Nancy says her family is a big part of her life, especially her seven grandchildren. She has six grandchildren and one on the way. Her top three highlights of life tell you a lot about Nancy - knowing Jesus, being married to her best friend, and parenthood.

MFB Morton is thankful for Nancy and the many volunteers that help get the everyday work accomplished. See what volunteer opportunities are available here.
