MFB New England assembling an advisory board
Part of establishing a new Midwest Food Bank division is putting together a team of people who are passionate about the MFB mission. This includes advisory board members. MFB New England has four board members and will be announcing several additional ones soon.
Current board members include:
Brent Walder, President. Brent is an executive coach, leadership speaker and facilitator, and strategic change accelerator. He has 25 years of experience as a senior actuary and leader in the financial industry. Brent lives in Ellington, CT, with his wife, Naomi, and their four children.
Joe Koch, Vice President. Joe retired as a VP in marketing with over 38 years of experience in the food industry. He has been on the divisional board of MFB East Africa since 2018, building feeding programs in Kenya and Tanzania. He has also held various board positions in the Apostolic Christian Church missionary ministry, Harvest Call USA. Joe and his wife, Sandy, live in Ellington, CT.
Heather Summers, Secretary. Heather is an Event Administrator at CNC Software, Inc., a family-owned business. She was formerly the VP of Friends of Glastonbury Rowing, Inc., and Chairperson of Back the Riverfront and Open the Doors to the River. Heather and her husband Brian live in Glastonbury, CT.
Maxine Schneider, Treasurer. Maxine is the Co-owner of Schneider's Flooring America, where she also serves on the national board of directors. She is a volunteer fundraising event coordinator for MFB Florida. She and her husband Wayne in Vernon, CT, wintering in Ft. Myers, FL.
