MFB Texas welcomes new Executive Director
Midwest Food Bank is pleased to announce a new employee. David Emerson has been hired as Executive Director of Midwest Food Bank Texas. As Executive Director, he is responsible for ensuring MFB's food service programs are executed with efficient use of facilities, employees and volunteers. He is also responsible for budgeting, fundraising, community engagement and other requirements for not-for-profit operations.
"David brings with him global leadership experience in the profit and non-profit sector," says Eric Hodel, COO/CFO of MFB. "His strong business acumen and heart to serve others will be a blessing to our MFB Texas location."
David has a bachelor's degree in management from Henderson State University and a master's degree from Columbia International University. Prior to MFB, he served in insurance, financial services and retail as well as in non-profit organizations, including the Red Cross.
"I'm thrilled and honored to be joining Midwest Food Bank and growing the outreach and operations as we serve more people in need," says David. "I'm truly blessed to have this opportunity where my experience and calling unite perfectly."
David is married to Stacia and has two children: Michaela and Adam (married to Emily). In his spare time David enjoys swimming, any sports with a ball ("whether i'm good or bad at them") reading, church activities and spending time with family.
