Pressed down and shaken together

"Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over ..." -Luke 6:38

Since the beginning of Midwest Food Bank Indiana, vast storehouses of food have been donated and subsequently given away. But as the saying goes, "You can't outgive the LORD." Food donations have increased at an amazing pace.

In 2017, nearly $30 million worth of food was distributed. There are days when six semis need to be unloaded at our one dock. 320 agencies receive food from MFB Indiana each month. All of this takes place from our 19,000 sq. ft. facility.

This all sounds good, but there are some remote areas of the state that we would like to reach. And, as the Bible verse above indicates, we've been pressing it down, and shaking it together. We have reached a point of running over.

MFB Indiana is prayerfully considering the best way of dealing with this blessing. Is an expansion in our future? Would a second Indiana location be the answer? Is there a solution the LORD hasn't revealed to us yet? All of these questions and more are being prayerfully considered.

As you can see from the photos below, our ability to serve, is restricted by our space. Please join us in seeking the LORD's direction in how best to serve those in need in Indiana.
