Summer brings FUNdraisers for MFB Normal

Each year, generous givers support MFB Normal through various fundraising events. Warmer summer weather brings the opportunity to hold these events outdoors while pursuing fun activities. Here are some recent FUNdraising events.

Golf Outing. Held at the Den at Fox Creek in Bloomington on June 17, the golf outing raised nearly $20,000 to support the MFB mission this year! It was a day of sunshine and fellowship. Thank you to the many sponsors and golfers who made the day a success! Contact us now to reserve your tee sponsor or event sponsor spot for next year on June 16, 2023.

Food Bank Flyer. June 18 was another sun-filled beautiful day, sandwiched between two miserably hot weeks. More than 80 riders chose beautiful country routes from 20 to 100 miles. When riders returned, they were treated to a grilled lunch provided by MFB. Big thanks to Team 224, Inc. for planning and running this event!

Taste & Tour. Event guests had the opportunity to see the warehouse firsthand and learn about the food relief programs MFB operates at Taste & Tour. Nearly 150 cars visited to tour the warehouse or pick up their express meal box. These were packed with a delicious homestyle barbeque meal catered by Annie's Eats Carry Out & Catering. Businesses, it's not too early to help us plan for 2023. Contact us now to reserve your sponsor spot for next year!

The common formula for these successful events includes event sponsors, enthusiastic attendees, and willing volunteers. MFB Normal is grateful for all of these this summer.

Next up? The Booth Brothers Concert. We'll be back indoors for this event on September 23 at 7 p.m. The trio will bring beautiful music, refreshing humor, and encouraging words to audience members. Click here for info and tickets.
