Zaire Franklin Teams Up with Midwest Food Bank to Fight Hunger in Indiana

Indianapolis Colts linebacker Zaire Franklin has teamed up with Midwest Food Bank and Coca-Cola Consolidated in a bold initiative to combat hunger across Indiana. For every tackle he records this NFL season, Franklin will donate $44 to Midwest Food Bank of Indiana, with Coca-Cola Consolidated matching his contributions dollar-for-dollar. This season-long partnership means each powerful play on the field translates directly into vital resources for families struggling with food insecurity in Indiana.

"I'm excited to be teaming up with Coca-Cola Consolidated and the Midwest Food Bank of Indiana this season to take part in the fight against hunger," says Franklin. "Being involved in the community is always a priority for me, and this is a great way to make an impact both on and off the field."

Franklin's long-standing commitment to the community is well known. He's been the Colts' team captain for five consecutive seasons and is the franchise's single-season tackle record holder. In 2023, he was nominated for the prestigious Walter Payton Man of the Year award, recognizing his significant contributions to community service.

Franklin's pledge of $44 per tackle isn't arbitrary. The number 44 holds personal meaning, symbolizing his journey and the unity of his team, community, and cause. With Coca-Cola Consolidated matching every dollar he donates, the impact is doubled, and every tackle becomes more than just a number on the field; it becomes meals on tables.

"We believe that by coming together with a partner like Zaire Franklin, we can support our community and fulfill our commitment to inspire and serve," said Sam Meiner, Vice President and General Manager Midwest Market Unit.

Fans and community members inspired by Franklin's dedication to tackling hunger can join the mission by donating to Midwest Food Bank using the memo code "ZAIRE." These donations will support Midwest Food Bank of Indiana's food relief programs, which are designed to serve individuals and families at risk of hunger. All donations will qualify for tax deduction eligibility in the 2025 season, creating a unique opportunity for fans to make a tangible impact alongside their favorite linebacker.
