Beautiful day for the MFB Arizona Golf Classic

Midwest Food Bank Arizona's first-ever Golf Classic, sponsored by California Pools and Landscape, was a success. 156 golfers raised over $75,000 at the event, held at the Arizona Biltmore Golf Club. 

Professional Golfer Ted Purdy, now Development Director at MFB Arizona, was on hand. Ted hit a shot for every group on the par 3 third hole. A cannon golf ball launcher was at one hole, with a "closest to the pin" contest. Another hole featured drone golfing for even more fun. A drone carried the ball 400 yards and the golfer would release it, hoping to be close to the hole. Mike Smith of California Pools and Landscape managed to get a hole-in-one,
