MFB Indiana welcomes a new Operations Manager

Midwest Food Bank Indiana is thankful to introduce new employee, Matt McKaig. Beginning September 28, Matt joined the MFB team as Operations Manager.

Matt grew up on a dairy farm in northern Indiana where he learned the value of hard work. Matt brings 14 years of warehousing and transportation experience to Midwest Food Bank. Working most recently in the agricultural field at Remington Seeds LLC, Matt oversaw all aspects of their operations.

"We are blessed to have Matt bring his extensive warehousing, inventory, and logistics experience to MFB," says John Whitaker, Executive Director of Midwest Food Bank Indiana.

Matt will be responsible for all operations related tasks and will be implementing additional inventory controls, distribution programs, and procedures at our two distribution facilities. Further, he will provide additional leadership and support for our expanding volunteer workforce.

"I am thrilled to be joining such an amazing organization," says Matt. "I am eager to use my God-given gifts and abilities to serve in this ministry."

Matt is married to Michelle, and they have four children. He enjoys reading historical fiction and volunteering at his church in the children's ministry.

Welcome to Midwest Food Bank, Matt!
