MFB Morton volunteer finds driving a 'good fit'

"I have never in my life wondered where my next meal will come from," says Daniel. "MFB is making that a reality for others who aren't as fortunate."

While Daniel has done some shorter local runs, most of his driving is longer hauls teamed with other drivers. He has completed several Disaster Relief runs to Florida and has made the Thanksgiving trip to New York. He likes having someone help navigate and finds the time a good way to build friendships. Several times, while at truck stops or unloading, Daniel has had the opportunity to talk about MFB with others.

"When I tell people about the scale of the mission and how much volunteers do for the organization, the look on their faces is always priceless," says Daniel.

"Daniel's willingness to share his weekends and semi-driving ability is a great gift to us and is an integral part of us fulfilling our mission," says Lisa Martin, Executive Director of MFB Morton. "We are so grateful for the many different talents and time that each volunteer brings to MFB."
