New MFB Marketing Director experiences God's timing

How Melanie Tennell became the new Marketing Director at MFB is a "God story." She felt a little unsettled in her previous position at Pekin Insurance when her former boss Jackie reached out to her. Jackie connected Melanie with her acquaintance, Jada Hoerr, MFB Chief Resource Officer.

"God's timing prevails," says Melanie. "Every. Single. Time."

Melanie leads the MFB Marketing efforts for the organization as a whole and will serve as a resource to the divisions. Having grown up in Pekin, IL, Melanie began her marketing career at the HON company in Iowa. She had more experience at Simatel in Peoria, IL.

"I love the MFB mission, culture, and people!" says Melanie. "It is such a blessing to be part of an organization where everyone rallies around the mission to help others."

"Melanie's thought leadership, ability to execute, and collaborative spirit equip her well for this role," says Jada Hoerr. "She will be a key resource in growing brand awareness for our efforts."

Melanie met her husband in high school, and they have been together for 15 years (nine married). They have two children, Tinley (6) and Zayne (3), who keep them busy, but they 'wouldn't trade it for the world!" Melanie enjoys fitness, DIY crafts, and spending time with her family in her spare time.

I know everyone will give Melanie a warm welcome because, as she says, "The people at MFB are some of the most kindhearted, wonderful people I have ever met."
