CCC volunteers learn about MFB Florida's mission

When volunteers from Crossover Community Center packed Cheez-It's at Midwest Food Bank Florida, it was a natural extension of their programs. CCC is a local nonprofit that uses the biblical principles of love and servanthood through active faith in Jesus Christ. They provide programs like volunteering, sports, and education to reach young people.

"Their visit to Midwest Food Bank aligned perfectly with CCC's vision," says Scot Buss, MFB Florida's Marketing and Development Manager. "They witnessed firsthand the compassionate service and the importance of addressing food insecurity."

MFB often receives food, like Cheez-It's crackers, in bulk. Volunteer groups then re-package that food into family-size portions. Groups like CCC learn about the role of food banks and how MFB partners with food pantries and feeding programs in Florida.

"The hands-on experience allowed CCC volunteers to make a tangible contribution and further solidify their commitment to serving their community," says Scot.
