MFB welcomes a new bookkeeper

The Midwest Food Bank central team welcomes a new bookkeeper to our team: Julie Bakewell. Julie will be assisting on the central and Haiti MFB accounts. She will be working out of the Bloomington-Normal location.

Julie comes to Midwest Food Bank with many years of experience in accounting and non-profit work. They include time spent at State Farm and running her own business.

"Julie brings a great blend of education and knowledge along with a strong passion for our mission,"says Dana Williamsen, Accounting Director for Midwest Food Bank. "We are blessed and thankful to have her on the MFB bookkeeping team."

Julie is married to Rob, and they have three children: Brandon, Lauren, and Audra. In her free time, she enjoys games of all sorts - from volleyball, basketball and tennis, to pinochle and euchre. She has coached volleyball and basketball. She also enjoys traveling with her husband on his motorcycle.

"The Midwest Food Bank mission warms my heart - the lives it touches," says Julie. "I'm honored and blessed to serve God by being a part of it."

Please join us in welcoming Julie to MFB. We are blessed to have her on the team.
