In the midst of the COVID-19 crisis, Kapu Africa (MFB East Africa) is working to put smiles on the faces of children in need.
Rozzika Gardens grows fresh vegetables which are exported to The Netherlands. Vegetables that do not meet quality standards (still edible and delicious) are donated to Kapu Africa. In late March, a large amount of fresh French peas was donated by Rozzika.
Godwin Matswa of Kapu Africa intended to distribute the peas after attending a meeting at the Ministry of Youth and Social Services. At the meeting, Godwin learned of needs at Bantil Islamia Orphans Centre, a muslim orphanage caring for 200 orphans and vulnerable families.
Godwin arrived there around 7:00 p.m. They were very happy with the donation and surprised to see non-Muslims donating to them. Godwin was able to live out the Kapu Africa mission: to share the love of Christ by alleviating hunger and malnutrition; all without discrimination.
