GEORGIA

Harvest of Blessings

Midwest Food Bank Georgia's Harvest of Blessings fundraising dinner took place on October 20th at the Southside Center in Fayetteville, Georgia. The event was attended by approximately 175 attendees and was a resounding success, raising over $50,000 to support our mission. Corporate sponsors for the event included Cooper Lighting, Aberdeen Fine Properties, Eaton Corporation, Panasonic Automotive, Brent Scarbrough & Co., Inc., Tailormade Enterprises, and Piedmont Fayette Healthcare. The highlight of the evening was guest speaker Terry Cummings, a retired NBA player and the Executive Director of our non-profit partner, Hope Egneto Ministries International, Inc.

Peanut Butter Pickleball Tournament

The inaugural Midwest Food Bank Peanut Butter Pickleball Tournament, hosted by Midwest Food Bank Georgia at Flat Creek Country Club in Peachtree City, Georgia, was a resounding success. With 145 athletes in action throughout the sunny weekend, the event showcased the thriving pickleball community and demonstrated the power of collective generosity. The tournament collected an impressive 460 pounds of peanut butter through the support of athletes and spectators, benefiting our non-profit partners. Thanks to the sponsors and the contribution of the PTC Fayette Pickleball Club, with its 900+ members assisting in planning, marketing, and logistics, the event's success sets the stage for an annual tradition, making a significant impact in the fight against hunger. We offer our heartfelt thanks to these sponsors: Salt MedSpa, Peachtree Financial, Georgia Bone and Joint, Corrective Chiropractic, Pickleball Central, Jigsaw Health, and Holbrook Pickleball.
