At MFB Florida, the excitement is real because three pieces of equipment are now part of the fleet - a forklift, a refrigerated utility trailer, and a semi-truck.
"While the upfront equipment expense is costly, it ensures the reliability and longevity of MFB's operations for our partner agencies for many years to come," says Karl Steidinger, Executive Director of MFB Florida.
Here's what MFB is excited about:
• Electric Toyota Forklift - This forklift helps maintain a high level of safety for our drivers and volunteers because of the lack of emissions released into the warehouse. Also, it includes updated safety technologies. It will arrive in the fall of this year. MFB received a grant from the USDA that went toward purchasing the forklift.
"The Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation continues to be an incredibly generous organization committed to SW Florida, says Scot Buss, Marketing and Development Manager for MFB Florida. "It is exceptionally meaningful because their due diligence on their giving is second to none."
