In these troubling times, driven largely by COVID-19, Midwest Food Bank Haiti is humbled by and grateful for our Haitian partners. They deliver MFB's Tender Mercies meals to the vulnerable and malnourished at the margins of Haiti society. Through July of this year our partners have delivered nearly 1.1 million Tender Mercies meals throughout Haiti. An additional ¼ million Tender Mercies meals are scheduled to arrive by mid-August.
These Tender Mercies meals are prepared and shipped nearly monthly from MFB Morton to Haiti. According to our Haitian partners, they are literally "prayers answered." Haiti remains at risk for widespread famine. Severe food rationing is common; many families eat just one meal a day. Others may go multiple days with no meal at all.
MFB-Haiti is working prayerfully and with urgency to keep Tender Mercies flowing to our trusted Haiti partners during the final 4 months of 2020. Your prayers are coveted and your support directly impacts our dear friends in Haiti. A generous $100 donation would provide 400 nutritious lunches, enough to provide a Haitian student five healthy meals a week for two school years.
Please continue to pray for Haiti and that God may continue to use MFB to alleviate suffering.
