"It's fun, and I get to help people," he says.
At 12 years old, Henry likes baseball and swimming. He also likes to volunteer. At MFB, he is "certified" in operating the hand-held pallet jack. The day he received that certification four years ago is one of his favorite memories of MFB.
Another way Henry helps MFB is by cleaning the warehouse with the floor scrubber. His efforts keep the warehouse neat and tidy.
"It's always a joy to have Henry here at MFB. You can see he looks up to his grandpa and counts it a special privilege to volunteer alongside him," says Lisa Martin, executive director of MFB Morton. "He has a great heart to help others and a strong work ethic."
At MFB, there is a volunteer opportunity for all ages and all abilities. Henry proves that to be true. Click here to see volunteer opportunities at MFB Morton.
