"When we first approached MFB New England to discuss our particular needs for Kosher products, Jan Young (Executive Director) and her team could not have been more open, welcoming, and curious about how they could better help us," says Jen Bernstein from Schoke Jewish Family Service.
Last year they distributed 129,076 pounds of food to about 566 households in Fairfield County. They also have a mobile Kosher food pantry. On MFB distribution days, that requires some extra attention.
Working and talking with our food partners is part of how MFB is a wise steward of the food we distribute.
"We look forward to our monthly visits to Midwest Food Bank, not only because we know we will receive supplies for our food pantry, but because the staff and volunteers are so incredible, helpful, and dedicated," says Jen. "There is no doubt they love what they do."
