After a 35-year career in the financial planning sector, Pat Cutilletta is ready to volunteer and use her professional expertise to help others. Pat has joined the advisory board at MFB Peoria.
"I loved my career and still miss the clients and daily challenges, but I retired to have time to give back," says Pat.
Pat grew up in the Peoria area but spent her adult life in Chicago, last working as the financial advisor and managing director for Morgan Stanley. She serves on the finance committee and board of directors of OSF Healthcare Foundation and the board of the Johnston R. Bowman Center at Rush Medical Center in Chicago.
"MFB is one of the most phenomenal organizations I've ever had the privilege of knowing," says Pat. "To think of what the core group of founders, employees, and such dedicated volunteers have accomplished in less than 20 years is beyond wonderful."
Her husband of 30 years, Anthony, is a pediatric cardiologist (and her "hero"). The couple returned to central Illinois a few years ago and through a long-time Peoria board member learned about MFB. After a tour of the Peoria facility, Pat knew she wanted to find a way to serve.
While the position of a board member is a volunteer one, Pat also puts in volunteer hours at MFB Peoria. On distribution days you can find her in what is affectionately known as the "she shed." This hut is located in the MFB parking lot and Pat's warm smile greets food partners when they check in on distribution days.
"As MFB remains focused on sustainable growth, Pat brings a wealth of knowledge to this position," says Monica Scheuer, Executive Director of MFB Peoria. "She also volunteers in a key role during distribution."
