Three organizations are influential in supporting Midwest Food Bank - the Caterpillar Foundation, GROWMARK, and State Farm. All three are top supporters of MFB operations in Illinois and beyond.
Over the past year, all three have supported MFB in the form of grants - $56,000 from the Caterpillar Foundation, $50,000 from GROWMARK, and $150,000 from State Farm.
"As an agricultural cooperative, we believe partnering with the Midwest Food Bank is a perfect fit for our noble purpose of feeding and fueling the world," says Karen Jones, GROWMARK Foundation representative. "We are thankful to have an organization of this caliber in our backyard, where we can not only work together financially, but our employees can also volunteer and be part of the Midwest Food Bank's mission."
The impact of these organizations goes beyond these monetary gifts. Their corporate matching gift program multiplies every employee donation to MFB. Further, the volunteer hours of the employees and retirees are an incredible blessing. There are also behind-the-scenes benefits: support for major projects, printing services, and peanut butter and other food drives.
"We appreciate the longstanding support of these organizations," says Jada Hoerr, CRO of Midwest Food Bank. "The financial and volunteer resources they provide are key to MFB's operations."
These organizations are longstanding supporters of the MFB mission. Our relationships with these faithful partners help MFB expand its footprint as we continually seek ways to grow sustainably. While the support is felt most in Illinois, the benefit of these three organizations impacts all divisions of Midwest Food Bank. On behalf of those we serve, we offer our sincere thanks.
