Chris Lee brings plenty of experience to Midwest Food Bank but more importantly, he brings a heart to help and serve people. Chris joined the MFB Texas team as Operations Manager on June 1.
Before coming to MFB, Chris worked in logistics and warehouse operations for more than a decade, including nonprofit food programs. Recently, he served on the national leadership team of Feeding Children Everywhere/US Hunger as the Regional Warehouse Manager overseeing their four warehouses across the country.
"I came to MFB under a mandate to 'feed my people, this is a must," says Chris. "My wife and I have a belief that shepherds should smell like sheep, so let's get to work,"
Chris is eager to see the immediate impact of helping others through MFB. He is "pumped" to be helping agencies that have "boots on the ground" to alleviate stress on families and children struggling with food insecurity.
Chris and his wife, Sabrina, have been married for 22 years and have three children, Ana, Trinity, and Josiah. He graduated from Rhema Bible College in Tulsa with a focus on missions. He served in the US Army and has pastored in Texas and England, and done missions work in Thailand. In his free time, he is a musician and enjoys lifting weights.
"Chris brings extensive operations and warehouse management experience as well as working with volunteers," says David Emerson, executive director of MFB Texas. "His energy, passion for feeding people, and heart to love, serve, and share Christ will be a great fit for our team."
