The Northeast Emergency District (NEED) is meeting the needs of the food-insecure population of Haltom City and Hurst, TX. MFB Texas is pleased to have them as a nonprofit agency partner. Anyone in need can come to NEED once a month for a cartload of groceries. Over 5,000 people take advantage of this help every year. In addition to food, once a year, clients may have their energy bill paid. About 25 volunteers staff NEED. When asked what is the best part of serving at NEED, one volunteer reported "the smiles on the faces of people we help.

"We are so grateful for the team of volunteers at NEED, who provide food, support, and loving care for anyone in need," says Rhonda Revels, MFB Texas' Community Development Coordinator. "They are a true partner in sharing the blessings."
