Midwest Food Bank Texas: A Record Year of Giving in 2024

With 2024 closed, Midwest Food Bank Texas is reflecting on a year of incredible impact. With the unwavering support of our donors, volunteers, and agency partners, we distributed over $31.1 million in free food and resources, marking yet another record-breaking year.

Texas continues to hold the unfortunate title of the most food-insecure state in the nation. Families, children, senior citizens, and veterans face food shortages at an alarming rate. In response, our Texas division remains steadfast in meeting and exceeding the growing demand from our 101 food agency partners.

"The need continues to grow, but so does our ability to serve," says Gareth Keown, Executive Director of Midwest Food Bank Texas. "2024 was a record year, and we're committed to making an even greater impact in 2025."

None of this would be possible without the generosity of our supporters and the efforts of our volunteers. As we enter the new year, we remain committed to expanding our reach, strengthening partnerships, and continuing our mission to fight food insecurity.

Help us make an even bigger impact in the coming year. Here's how you can get involved:
